I ran for office to protect our freedoms—and built the year’s most effective State Senate campaign.
I’m a progressive political organizer, candidate, and coalition builder with a record of high-impact leadership in one of Georgia’s most competitive suburban districts. In 2024, I led a grassroots campaign for State Senate District 56 that shattered Democratic turnout records, activated tens of thousands of voters, and united dozens of regional organizations to fight back against extremist overreach.
As the candidate behind what state party leaders called “the best-run and most effective campaign in the Georgia State Senate,” I turned a deep-red district into a true battleground by combining data-driven strategy, authentic messaging, and community-first constituent engagement. We knocked over 14,000 doors, reached 189,000 residents, and forced an entrenched incumbent to spend tens of thousands defending his seat—just to hold it.
Beyond my race, I anchored coordinated efforts across 12 local, state, and congressional campaigns, raised nearly $70,000 from small-dollar donors, and ran the largest canvass event in North Metro Atlanta history.
I remain committed to building a more inclusive, responsive, and representative Georgia. Whether I’m running for office or running ground game, I show up to win—and to serve.

Why I decided to run for office & get involved.
I’ve always encouraged my kids to be themselves, whatever that might be, as long as they don’t hurt themselves or others. This simple rule has launched more great conversations and experiences than I can count. It’s also given two of our kiddos the space they needed to explore who they are as young trans people.
In 2023, Appen Media covered my family when our incumbent state senator sponsored Georgia’s anti-trans bill, blocking lifesaving healthcare options critical to helping trans kids deal with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
This anti-trans law targeted my kids. It endangered them. And when I—a constituent, neighbor, and former co-worker—tried to reach out to my elected official about this issue, all I got was silence.
Trans rights aren’t isolated to a tiny segment of the population. And trans people aren't some “other.” They’re my family. Their rights are my rights. And, frankly, trans rights are a canary in the proverbial coal mine. Our incumbent senator’s attack on their personal healthcare freedoms reveals how fragile all our freedoms are in the face of ignorance and a lack of empathy.
I just want my kids to have all the freedoms and space they need to become their best selves. Those are the same freedoms I want, too. For all of us.
