Our results.
Our campaign, by the numbers.
2024’s most effective campaign for the Georgia State Senate.
I’m deeply proud of the campaign we built together. We ran what many called the best-run and most effective 2024 campaign for the Georgia State Senate, and the results reflect the strength of our movement.
We launched a high-impact campaign that engaged 189,000 residents and activated 110,000 potential voters, ultimately earning 45,557 votes—a record for Democratic turnout in our district, even against tough top-of-ticket headwinds.
We became the anchor campaign for more than a dozen Democratic candidates across North Metro Atlanta, reinforcing voter engagement strategies and strengthening coalition efforts from Congress down to local races. I worked to align over 20 stakeholder groups—including three county parties and 17 PACs—so that we could expand our support and unify our message.
We built a fundraising program that grew by more than 200% period over period and secured nearly $70,000 from 353 donors—more than four times the contributor base of our opponent. We also managed an additional $60,000 in external resources, stretching every dollar to deliver the best ROI in the region.
Our volunteer team was nothing short of extraordinary. More than 160 people stepped up, breaking records by canvassing over 14,000 homes and hosting the largest canvassing event in North Metro Atlanta history—1,200 doors, 1,000 calls, and 700 postcards in a single day.
We also ran a disciplined and creative communications program, turning modest investments into outsized impact. A single $12 post forced our opponent to spend $10,000 in response, and a $200/day social media campaign triggered $42,000 in opposition spending. That strategy allowed me to cut my own fundraising time by 80% while still earning coverage in regional and national media.
Most importantly, I had the privilege of working with a remarkable leadership team—ten professionals and volunteers ranging from seasoned candidates and nonprofit directors to field managers and first-time organizers—who drove this campaign with integrity, creativity, and resilience.
Thank you.

Thank you for your attention, for volunteering, for donating—and to 45,557 of you, for voting!
18 months ago, when I made the decision to run for State Senate, I couldn’t imagine the journey I’d set upon. It’s been frenetic and stressful at times but it’s also been more fun and more rewarding than expected … and an unanticipated combination of things I’ve learned over the years as a designer, as a consultant, and as a parent.
The national and local outcomes were not what we'd hoped. But I'm incredibly proud of what our team accomplished in the 56. We brought together hundreds of volunteers and donors and collaborated with some wonderful campaigns and definitely moved the needle for better representation in East Cobb, Roswell, and Woodstock.
But if you're having trouble today—in the 56 or anywhere in the Republic—let me share one last story before I take a break from the campaign and social media for a few weeks to plot my next move:
When I was dying of cancer and bedridden on chemo, delirious and unable to work, my wife got me an Amazon Echo so I could just ask for songs and news and stuff since I was frequently too weak to get up.
She hooked up the echo and started an audiobook for me and left me to sleep. Restless and despairing, I recall asking, “Alexa, tell me everything is going to be ok."
She responded by playing "Alright" by Kendrick Lamar:
”Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon' be alright”
