Roswell’s Youth Day Parade!
Possibly the most fun you can have with your kids and 10,000 neighbors.
I got into the race for State Senate district 56 for my kids. To keep them safe and to help make Georgia a better place where they can afford to live, where they'll be safe to be their authentic selves, and where they'll want to raise their own families (when the time comes).
October 2024's Youth Day Parade in Roswell was probably the high point of the campaign for my family. We joined 40+ volunteers and three dogs on a custom-built float and shared a mountain of candy with the kids along Woodstock, Canton, and Mimosa. We had the most amazing time!
There were a few jeers but there were far more cheers. And I think the parade served as a wonderful metaphor for how local politics should be: My opponent and I traveled the same route but chose different methods and different company to get there. That is to say, we generally want to get to the same place (safety, health, prosperity, liberty) but we might disagree how to get there. And anyone should be welcome to voice their support or offer neighborly feedback along the way.
If you were at the parade, I hope you liked our float—it was a labor of love for a huge crew who did an an inspiring job putting it together and crewing it through Downtown Roswell. I'm grateful for everyone who helped put it together and who helped make Saturday so special for me and my kids. Thank you!
